What are Cannabinoids?

Cannabinoids are a class of chemical compounds that are found naturally in cannabis. These compounds interact with specific receptors in the body's endocannabinoid system.

The most well-known cannabinoid is delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is responsible for the psychoactive effects of cannabis. Another prominent cannabinoid is cannabidiol (CBD), which has gained significant attention for its potential therapeutic properties. Unlike THC, CBD does not produce psychoactive effects and is generally well-tolerated. CBD interacts with cannabinoid receptors indirectly and may influence various physiological functions, including pain perception, inflammation, mood, and sleep.
